2020 Color Tour of Kent County

Sep 10, 2020 Press Releases

Kent County Road Commission kicks off the countdown to fall by introducing the first route of its annual Color Tour. Every week, a new route will be introduced through October 12, the estimated "peak" date for fall colors in Kent County. These routes can be driven individually for shorter trips or connected for longer outings.

In 2019, the color tour encompassed over 240 miles, divided into nine (9) routes that guided motorists, cyclists and other travelers along roads showcasing picturesque seasonal scenes.  Along the way, travelers could enjoy Kent County and township parks, each with its own unique character and recreational opportunities.

This year's routes are being to avoid active road improvement projects. Drivers are reminded to stay alert for work zones and obey caution signs.
