Commissioner VerHeulen was appointed to KCRC’s board on January 3 by the Kent County Board of Commissioners. He replaces Patrick Malone who retired from the board in December 2018 after serving since 2007.
The Kent County Road Commission has released a Notice of Sale for its Central Complex property, located at 1500 Scribner Avenue in Grand Rapids. Built in 1924, the facility resides on 14.2 acres along the Grand River just north of Webster Street.

The Kent County Road Commission offers the 2018 Color Tour assist travelers eager to take in the beauty of Kent County. Encompassing 274 total miles, the Color Tour guides motorists along county roads showcasing picturesque seasonal scenes.
Kent County Road Commission is accepting applications for the Maintenance and Equipment Divisions. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license. Wages range from $12-$14/hour; some nights and weekends may be required.
The state’s proposed 2019 budget includes two increases to transportation: a general fund revenue increase of $175 million ($3.5 million, KCRC) and a one-time surplus revenue increase of 300 million ($6 million, KCRC)
