Event Description:

A Public Hearing will be held by the Board of County Road Commissioners of the County of Kent pursuant to Act 150 of the Public Acts of 1976 of the State of Michigan for the proposed 2019 improvement of:

  • 100th Street from 1000 feet east of Eastern Avenue to Kalamazoo Avenue in Gaines Township. The proposed improvement of 0.9 mile of 100th Street from 1000 feet east of Eastern Avenue to Kalamazoo Avenue, Sections 29 & 32 in Gaines Township includes necessary tree removal, grading, drainage, subbase, aggregate base and construction to provide a 2 lane all-season primary road.
  • 13 Mile Road from Wabasis Avenue to Podunk Avenue in Oakfield Township.The proposed improvement of 1.50 miles of 13 Mile Road from Wabasis Avenue to Podunk Avenue, Sections 15, 16, 21 & 22 in Oakfield Township includes necessary tree removal, grading, drainage, subbase, aggregate base and construction to provide a 30-foot width roadway with HMA surfacing.

Copies of the notice and preliminary plans of the proposed action are available for public inspection at the office of the Kent County Road Commission located at 1500 Scribner Avenue NW, Grand Rapids, MI. Written statements will be accepted by the Kent County Road Commission at least ten (10) days before the hearing.
