“It is the intent of the Kent County Road Commission to purchase quality goods and services at competitive prices in a cost-effective manner while providing a fair opportunity to all vendors.

Pursuant to MCL 224.10, as amended, which states that KCRC shall advertise and request for bids for goods and services on any expenditure exceeding $15,000, except under emergency conditions, in which case the limit shall not exceed $50,000. For purchases under $15,000, price quotations may be requested by email or through BidNet Direct/MITN site. When KCRC elects to Construction, Reconstruction, Resurfacing, Preservation, Bridges & Culverts, and Traffic/Safety related projects, the Road Commission must advertise for sealed submittals when the cost is expected to exceed $20,000.

KCRC has partnered with BidNet Direct as part of the MITN Purchasing Group to post bid opportunities for goods and services. By selecting automatic bid notification during the registration process, your company will receive emails once KCRC has a bid opportunity that matches your company’s offering. In addition, the site handles bid opportunities, RFPs, and RFQs for other member governmental agencies throughout Michigan.
