Weight Restrictions - Bridges

The Kent County Road Commission is enforcing weight restrictions on the following bridges, effective Monday, June 24, 2024.

Algoma Bridge 40
12 Mile Road over the Rogue River, East of Friske Avenue
  • Single truck: 34 tons
  • Semi truck and single trailer: 50 tons
  • Semi truck and double trailer: 61 tons

  • Single truck: 34 tons
  • Semi truck and single trailer: 50 tons
  • Semi truck and double trailer: 61 tons

Division Street (10 Mile Road) over the Rogue River/White Pine Trail
  • Single truck: 42 tons
  • Semi truck and single trailer: 56 tons
  • Semi truck l and double trailer: 62 tons

While there is no danger of bridge failure, KCRC’s routine inspections have concluded that weight restrictions are essential to protect the structural integrity of the three bridges. Staff is exploring options to complete the necessary repairs with the goal of removing the weight restrictions.

Companies that haul heavy loads are asked to advise dispatch teams and drivers about these weight restrictions to ensure they plan their routes accordingly.
